Hospice Care

Comfort, dignity, and the people who already know your loved one

Who this is for

The Kind Of Resident This Serves Best.

Residents nearing the end of life who want to remain in a familiar home, surrounded by familiar caregivers, rather than transitioning to a hospital or hospice facility.

Our approach

How We Actually Do This.

When a resident enters hospice, we don't transfer them out — we partner with their hospice team and continue providing the daily care they're used to. Our caregivers know the resident; the hospice nurse knows their medical course. Together we make sure the resident's final weeks are as peaceful, comfortable, and dignified as possible. Family is welcome at any hour.

"Mom passed on a Tuesday morning at Simon, with her family around her and Genet holding her hand. We didn't have to move her to a hospital. We didn't have to say goodbye in a sterile room. She got to leave from her home. That's a gift."

— Robert H., son of resident
Common questions

What Families Ask Us.

Do we have to leave Simon when hospice begins?
No. That's the whole point. We work with hospice so your loved one can stay in a home they know, with caregivers they trust.
Which hospice agencies do you work with?
We work with most hospice providers in Snohomish County. The family's choice of hospice agency is honored.
Can family stay overnight?
Yes. During end-of-life, family can be here as much as they want — including overnight.
How do you support family during this time?
Quietly and however we can — with coffee, with space when needed, with practical help, and with the knowledge that we loved this person too.
